Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue says progress is being made in
trade talks with Japan.
U.S. and Japanese trade officials met recently to resume
trade talks on a possible trade deal.
“We’re hopeful we can complete a good deal with Japan very soon on ag issues- they’re a big customer of ours,” he says. “…Ambassador Lighthizer is on that and I think we’ll get a good deal with Japan.”
Perdue says trade progress with China is a different story.
