Direct cash cattle markets are quiet. The day’s big features will be the assessment of last week’s trade and the distribution of this week’s new showlist. Because of the slow, late nature of last week’s trade, at least some supplies have been carried over into this week. Live trade in the south last week was late to develop, generally light at $110, down $1 from the previous week’s weighted averages. Dressed activity in the north ranged from $179 to $183.
