Subway is
the next restaurant chain to serve products from plant-based protein company Beyond
Meat.
Beginning in
September, Subway will offer a Beyond Meatball Marinara sub at more than 600 restaurants
in the US and Canada.
The Beyond
Meatball is a co-developed product created only for Subway restaurants. It is
made of peas, brown rice, mug beans and Subway’s breadcrumb mixture. A six-inch
Beyond Meatball Marinara sub contains 24 grams of protein.
