Direct cash cattle trade is off to a quiet start, which is typical for a Monday. Bids and asking prices have yet to surface. It’s likely significant trade volume will be delayed until the latter half of the week. A light trade developed as early as Wednesday last week and continued through the week. Northern dressed business ranged from $180 to $185, mostly at $183, fully steady with the prior week’s weighted average basis in Nebraska.
