An agricultural inputs manufacturer says there is a critical need to pass the USMCA trade agreement. Corteva Agriscience CEO Jim Collins says, “Corteva’s seed and crop protection products represent decades of research and development, thus the intellectual property rights protection is also crucial. We are particularly excited about the biotech protections.”
Collins told a Senate Finance Committee hearing Tuesday the U.S. is the largest market for seed and the largest exporter of seed, with one-third of the exports going to Canada and Mexico, so the updated trade agreement is important.
