President Trump, in a series of tweets this morning, lashed out at China for what he says is its unwillingness to buy American ag products.
Trump accused China of continuing to “rip off” the U.S. and warned that, if he’s reelected in 2020, China faces a much tougher deal.
Trump’s tweets came just as the two nations resumed negotiations in Shanghai following a three-month hiatus. Even before Trump’s latest tirade, prospects for a breakthrough in the talks were considered to be dim.
