Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts
Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts says he met recently with members of the Unicameral’s Revenue Committee to discuss property tax relief.
“We were talking about what we want to work on this summer as we get ready for the next legislative session,” Ricketts says. “We still have some differences and some issues we need to work out, but I’m hopeful that by starting these conversations early, we can get something in shape for next year.”
Ricketts says he hasn’t changed his position on increasing sales or income taxes to pay for property tax relief.
