A participant in a recent Iowa Soybean Association (ISA) trade mission to China says he’s more optimistic now, than he was before he left on that trip.
Casey Schlichting of Clear Lake, Iowa says Chinese buyers told them they like U.S. soybeans.
“You don’t know if their crushers really want to do business with us. Then you come over here and you physically talk to them and they’re like, ‘Yes, we want to buy your product—that’s a no-brainer, guys’,” Schlichting says.
