The USDA’s national corn condition rating improved slightly last week, but remains near multi-year lows. The major U.S. crops have all been affected by weather this year, ranging from wetter than normal conditions during corn and soybean planting and early winter wheat development, to a drier pattern starting to emerge in parts of the Midwest and Plains.
58% of the crop is in good to excellent condition, up 1% on the week, but down 14% from this time last year.
