Central Ohio farmer Bret Davis says this is the toughest year he’s had in his 40-plus years of farming.
“This is the first year I’ve never got all my crops planted—and what I did was planted a month-and-a-half behind,” Davis says. “We’ve got corn that’s still knee-high. The very first corn is close to being ready to tassel. But, boy, things look rough.”
Davis, who farms near Delaware, Ohio, says they had to take prevent plant on 140 acres of corn.
