Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue says he thinks Chinese purchases of more U.S. ag goods have started, “I think China made some references regarding promises to
purchase ag products and I think President Trump insisted on that as a way to
unfreeze our discussions. And I think we’re, possibly, some sorghum purchases
and maybe some soybean purchases here.”
China’s foreign ministry said Thursday some Chinese
companies have started the process of buying U.S. ag goods.
