The American Dairy Association of Indiana has hosted an ice cream social for the past three decades with all proceeds benefiting a nonprofit organization.
This year the event benefited Second Helpings, an
organization that reduces food waste by taking leftover food from wholesalers,
retailers, and restaurants and preparing meals for people in need.
Brooke Williams, director of communications for the American Dairy Association of Indiana, says it’s an opportunity for dairy farmers to give back.
