A federal regulatory framework for hemp products from the Food and Drug Administration was requested by state ag officials (today) Friday.
The National
Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) sent comments to the FDA
emphasizing the need for a system that all states can follow, saying
consistency will be a key factor for the emerging industry.
If no federal
action is taken, states must create their own regulations for hemp products.
