The condition rating of Iowa’s corn crop saw a slight decline over the past week, from 64 to 61 percent good to excellent.
Statewide, as of Sunday, one percent of the crop had begun to silk, more than one week behind the five-year average.
The soybean condition rating remained the same, at 64 percent good to excellent. Seven percent of the soybean crop had started to bloom, 10 days behind average.
