Periods of very hot weather and heavy rainfall made last week
difficult for crops struggling in Michigan.
The USDA says the state’s corn crop is now the fifth worst on record at 46 percent good to excellent, with 85 percent emergence.
Soybeans are 95 percent planted, 79 percent emerged and 45
percent good to excellent.
The wheat crop is now 20 percent mature with 97 percent
headed and condition improved one points to 45 percent good to excellent.
