Warm, dry conditions allowed Hoosier farmers to catch
up on fieldwork this week.
According to the USDA, 98 percent of corn is planted,
and 93 percent is emerged.
Ninety-three percent of soybeans are planted, and 85
percent are emerged.
Corn is 38 and soybeans are 37 percent good to
excellent.
The first cutting of alfalfa hay is 92 percent
complete and the first cutting of other hay is 87 percent complete.
