Direct cash cattle trade activity is quiet. There have been a few scattered bids floated at $109 live in the South and $181 dressed in Nebraska. Asking prices are around $112 to $115 live and $185 to $186 dressed. We could start to see a little business develop yet this afternoon, but it’s likely significant trade volume will be delayed until sometime Thursday or even pushed to late in the day Friday, following the release of the latest Cattle on Feed report.
