A southeast Minnesota farmer who’s finished planting corn recognizes he is in the minority. Les Anderson of Cannon Falls says this spring has gone pretty well considering most farmers in the state are way behind. “We’ve been pretty lucky here with the rolling ground (that’s) well-drained. It hasn’t kept us out of the field too much. We’re definitely behind, but not like some of the other parts of the state where (farmers) haven’t turned a wheel yet basically.” He tells Brownfield he plans to start on soybeans today.
