An agronomist says he’s telling farmers it might seem late, but it’s still too soon to change seed varieties. Mike Binsfeld with Dekalb Asgrow says, “We’re very safe with our originally planned hybrids up until the 15th (of May).”
Binsfeld says Brownfield he is getting several phone calls from clients that are getting concerned, but so far, they’re not leaning towards prevented planting. He does say the first seed choice for some farmers might influence that decision.
