Southern Indiana Farmer Dave Gottbrath says it will likely be another week before he’s able to begin planting.
“We’ve had rain just like everyone else, the ground has not dried out, it’s been cold, and there’s a lot of flooding going on,” he says.
He tells Brownfield he would have liked to start planting two weeks ago.
“We like to try and start in mid-April if the temperatures are right, but we haven’t had that chance this year,” he says.
