Chicago Mercantile Exchange live cattle futures were
lower on technical selling, the lower midday boxed beef, and pressure from the
week’s direct cash cattle business. The trade would also like to see a
resolution to the various ongoing trade discussions. June was down $.25 at
$113.42 and August was $1.02 lower at $109.15.
Feeder cattle were lower on the same factors as the
live pit. May was down $1.82 at $137.15 and August was $1.52 lower at $146.37.
