A Missouri farmer who told
Brownfield on Monday he was hesitant to plant some fields in the bottom lands –
is now looking at flooding. Mark Scott predicted it would happen, “I’m expecting
small stream flooding because the creek that I’m sitting along right now is half
full of backwater from the Mississippi (river) so the small streams can’t handle
the heavy rain.”
Scott, who farms west of St.
Louis, says they’ve gotten more than five inches of rain this week and
it’s raining now.
