A small beef herd in Northern Michigan has been confirmed
positive for bovine tuberculosis, the second one of 2019.
State veterinarian Nora Wineland says the National Veterinary
Services Lab confirmed a herd in Presque Isle County positive for the disease.
Genome sequencing will be used to determine the source of the
infection.
This is the first case of the disease in the county since
2000.
