The Dried Tart Cherry Trade
Committee has filed an anti-dumping and countervailing case with the
International Trade Commission to help level the playing field with Turkey.
Mollie Woods with the Cherry Industry Administrative Board tells Brownfield Turkey’s duty-free access for tart cherry juice concentrate finally ended last year, but growers still suffer from strong import competition. “We are carrying some inventories that I don’t think we’d be carrying if it weren’t for imports and unfair trade.”
