U.S. ethanol production surged last week.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration says production averaged 1.048 million barrels a day, up 31,000 on the week, for the highest weekly average since mid-January. The industry continues to watch margins, monitor the comment period on year-round E15 use, and wait to see what role ethanol plays in proposed trade deals.
Stocks rebounded from the previous week’s multi-month lows, up 71,000 barrels at 22.747 million.
