Planting was in sight for a central Illinois farmer until he
was hit with rain again last night.
Joe Bolte farms the research plots at Beck’s Hybrids Practical Farm Research in Effingham, Illinois.
“Tomorrow we could have started working ground and probably would have been able to start to planting tomorrow as well. I would say we were really close and on the border line there, but we had another six tenths of rain last night.”
And with more rain in the forecast for tomorrow, he tells Brownfield it looks like they will be kept out of the fields for a while now.
