If karma is a killer, as they say, then House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D, CA) has got to be feeling the pain. Her House Democrat caucus is not marching in lockstep to the beat of her drum as it did in her first round as speaker. Rather there’s a whole Democrat percussion section up there with different size and volume drums, and they’re playing their own tunes despite her swinging the baton.
Pelosi is starting to have “Boehner moments.” Back in the day, Speaker John Boehner (R, OH) learned well and often, it’s tough to get stuff done when even the smallest chunk of your majority goes off the reservation.
