The latest setback for many Midwestern farmers came in with a bang Wednesday morning.
Southwest Minnesota farmer Bob Worth says he awoke to the sound of thunder.
“And I thought ‘Wow! We are just getting rain, that’s great. Then I got up and looked out the window and it was snowing very hard, and thundering and lightning.”
He says within a few hours more than six inches of snow was
on the ground.
