Soybeans were modestly higher on short covering and technical buying. There’s cautious optimism as face to face, Cabinet-level trade negotiations have resumed with China. A lot of the sticking points are related to technology and intellectual property and African swine fever is expected to have at least some impact on China’s demand for soybeans and soybean meal.
