Flood concerns are spilling into worry about planting
delays in the Red River Valley.
Jim Peterson with the North Dakota Wheat Commission says it’s not a question of IF there will be delays this spring, but how long.
“Obviously facing the reality that there’s still a lot of snow to move off fields, and I guess how quickly that moves. There’s certainly a lot of alerts for flooding close to the rivers and through some of the towns that perpetually face flooding.”
But he tells Brownfield it’s premature to contemplate prevent plant.
