Some mid-south farmers are close to getting in the field despite Missouri
River flooding.
“Actually, if it doesn’t rain or anything, maybe in the next day or two I might
be able to put a little anhydrous on,” said Billy Thiel, who farms at Malta Bend,
in west central Missouri.
Thiel doesn’t have any river bottom farm ground, and with warmer temperatures,
he says it won’t be long before his land is fit to work.
