Soybeans were modestly lower on profit taking and technical selling. It’s looking more and more like face to face trade talks between President Trump and President Xi might not resume until as late as June. No definitive announcement has been made, however, and talks could resume as early as April. Harvest and development conditions in South America generally look non-threatening. Safras says 62% of Brazil’s crop is harvested, compared to the five-year average of 55%.
