One
of the trials against Bayer alleging glyphosate causes cancer is still being
deliberated by a jury. The Edwin Hardeman versus Monsanto Roundup trial
is a multi-district case in California and is considered a bellwether for more
than 16-hundred similar cases.
Jurors
must determine if Hardeman proved that his exposure to Roundup was a
substantial factor in causing his non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. When court
recessed Friday, jurors had requested to have part of Hardeman’s testimony read
back to them. That is happening today (Monday). Deliberations began
last Tuesday.
