Heavy snow continues to cause problems for livestock
producers throughout the Upper Midwest.
Minnesota State Cattlemen’s Association president Mike Landuyt says farmers are having to do a lot of extra work.
“People had to dig out fences so the cattle couldn’t just walk out big drifts into the pens. I’ve seen pictures of people using snow blowers to blow the snow out of the pens to get it cleared.”
He tells Brownfield it’s been especially difficult for cow/calf producers.
