Direct cash cattle trade is quiet with the majority of today’s activity limited to the collection and evaluation of new showlists. Bids and asking prices aren’t established yet and aren’t expected to surface until sometime tomorrow. Significant trade volume isn’t expected until the second half of the week. Last week saw a
light to moderate trade develop in most areas on Thursday with live deals ranging
from $127 to $128.50 and dressed deals at $205.
Both were generally steady with the previous week’s weighted averages.
