An Illinois weed scientist says he is on board with the state specific restrictions placed on dicamba application this year.
“There was a lot made of all the additional training that went on before the 2018 season, but unfortunately the fact of the matter is, in the state of Illinois our number of complaints actually increased about 35% in 2018 compared to 2017.”
Dr. Aaron Hager with the University of Illinois tells Brownfield he appreciates the fact that the Illinois Department of Agriculture reached out very broadly to various groups to create the restrictions.
