Friday is the deadline to purchase crop insurance for corn
and soybeans.
Farm management analyst Kent Thiesse with MinnStar Bank in south-central Minnesota says he expects most producers will select revenue protection policies again this year.
“So your guarantee is whatever your APH yield is times that price, times 85 percent if that’s what you’re using.”
The 2019 crop insurance base price for corn is $4.00 and $9.54 for soybeans.
