The USDA says total ag exports in the first half of 2018 were able to offset losses in the second half from trade retaliation.
USDA trade economist Kamron Daugherty says exports for the year were up just over one-percent at nearly 140-billion-dollars.
“We saw a 20 percent decrease in soybean exports, 11 percent decrease in wheat exports, a 37 percent increase in corn, and we saw a 12 percent increase in cotton.”
Soybean
exports to China were down 74 percent but Daugherty says exports were up with all other major trading partners.
