A group of Democrats in
Congress has released an outline of the Green New Deal, a plan they say will
combat climate change by transforming the economy, including agriculture, and
expanding renewable energy.
The resolution calls for
changes to animal agriculture. But, Collin Woodall with the National Cattlemen’s
Beef Association says U.S. beef producers are committed to sustainability. And
they produce the same amount of beef with 33 percent fewer cattle, compared to
1977, and produce only two-percent of all
carbon emissions in the U.S.
