Direct cash cattle trade has started to pick up near midday. Some light business has been reported in Nebraska at $123 live and $197 dressed and in Colorado at $123 live. The live deals are about $1 lower than last week’s weighted averages, while dressed business is fully steady. Dressed bids are at still $196 to $197. Asking prices have been restated at $126 live and $200 to $203 dressed. Business in the South looks to be holding out for higher money and significant trade volume could be delayed until sometime late in the day.
