American Farm Bureau passed resolutions to light a fire under the federal government during the Federation’s 100th annual meeting.
Minnesota Farm Bureau president and AFBF board member Kevin Paap says delegates adopted language urging the Trump Administration and Congress to work together to end the government shutdown as soon as possible.
“Farmers are being delayed in securing loans and crop insurance, as well as the disaster and trade assistance. And in the bigger picture, this is delaying important parts of the Farm Bill implementation.”
He tells Brownfield Farm Bureau also passed a resolution that calls for an end to ongoing trade disruptions.
