A professor at Purdue University says farmers must continue to help consumers understand the benefits of technology in agriculture, like GMOs.
Peter Goldsbrough says simply explaining the science behind GMOs won’t work.
“This is more of an emotional issue,” he says. “One thing that we all need to do is engage in conversation and discussion about these issues and we need to be transparent and straightforward in explaining how this technology has been used.”
He tells Brownfield the technology IS needed and will help feed the growing population.
