Direct cash cattle markets are quiet. Things have been at a standstill all week, but trading interest is firming up, even if widespread business waits until Friday. Asking prices are $122 on the live basis and $195 dressed, with a few bids at $190 dressed in Nebraska. Weather is impacting business in some of feeding areas, with one Nebraska major reportedly canceling shifts, for at least today. Allendale says last week’s average cash price for 35% to 65% choice cattle was $118.76.
