Canada’s largest dairy processor is continuing to expand into the U.S.
Saputo Inc. has bought F & D Dairy Products, Inc. for $85 million which includes processing plants in New Mexico and Dresser, Wisconsin.
This announcement builds on several Saputo processing facilities purchases in the last year including in Florida and Wisconsin as well as acquiring a struggling Australian dairy processor for $1 billion.
The growth reinforces expectations for cheese consumption to continue to grow.
