Illinois corn harvest leads last year’s by 18 points

Illinois corn harvest is 89 percent finished. It’s ahead of last year’s 71 percent. Soybean and sorghum harvest are each 86 percent complete.

Winter wheat planting is about three-quarters done. Half of it is up and the crop is 66 percent good to excellent.
