Many farmers are harvesting damaged corn, including Bob Worth who farms in southwest Minnesota.
The Lake Benton corn and soybean grower says weather has made this a frustrating harvest. Heavy rains and strong winds have created grain quality concerns.
“A lot of the corn is starting to mold in the ear, and that’s due to the moisture sitting in the shucks for so long that the ear is actually starting to mold.”
He tells Brownfield running the corn through the dryer should help.
