An Upper Midwest farm credit organization is focused on farmer profitability as work on the 2018 Farm Bill continues.
Perry Aasness is vice president of legislative affairs for Compeer Financial.
“Certainly getting a farm bill passed by Congress yet this year becomes very important, just given the programs that are in there to help support agriculture. (programs like) crop insurance, the farm safety net programs, and things like that.”
He says many of those programs expire at the end of the year.
