Direct cash cattle trade has been fairly quiet this morning following yesterday’s moderate to active trade. There’s still the potential to see some more trade, but it is possible the majority of this week’s business is finished – with the exception of Texas, which does need to move more cattle. Live deals were marked at $105 to $106 – generally $2 lower than most of last week’s trade. Dressed business was from $168 to $170, about $3 to $5 lower than last week’s weighted average basis in Nebraska.
