The Senate farm bill discussion starts Tuesday. Senators passed a cloture vote late Monday, which set the rules for debate and opens the door for possible amendments.
The Senate farm bill is labeled as HR-2, but even with a House of Representatives bill number, a staff member for Senate Ag Committee Chairman Pat Roberts tells Brownfield this bill is the Senate’s bipartisan language and not the House language which passed by two votes last week.
