As U.S. Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue prepares to address Commodity Classic attendees in California today, some ag group leaders are questioning Perdue’s position on the Renewable Fuel Standard.
Recent reports have indicated Perdue is advocating for a compromise on the issue of Renewable Identification Numbers, or RINs, a position opposed by ethanol supporters.
Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley says Perdue expressed strong support for ethanol at yesterday’s White House meeting on the RFS, but also offered compromise solutions.
